👤 Who is Demas Tongogo?

Mr. Demas Emos Tongogo, a 72-year-old experienced educator, public servant, and Christian leader, is contesting the 2025 Duke of York Islands Local Level Government (LLG) Presidential Seat. He is known for his principled leadership, deep faith, and service to the people of Utuan and the wider DOY communities.

• 15 years as a high school teacher & principal
• 10 years with the United Church Assembly as General Secretary
• 16 years as Principal of FODE (Flexible, Open & Distance Education), upgrading national education through World Bank support
• Former Ward Member, unopposed since 2019
• Christian mentor and advocate for integrity, service, and development

Mr. Tongogo is not running for privilege or fame—he is answering a call to refire, not retire, and offer his wisdom for the next generation.

Running a campaign across the Duke of York Islands involves travel, logistics, media, printing, and community outreach. We are seeking K100,000 to cover:

• 🚤 Transport between islands for voter awareness

• 🍛 Hosting small ward-level gatherings and voter dialogue
